Post-print was initiated in 2017 by Serafim Mendes, in the context of his thesis for the MA in Communication Design at ESAD Matosinhos. It is an on-going project which aims to explore the creative possibilities of augmented reality (AR) alongside graphic design.
The focus is the use of 3D space and animation as a tool for communication. Can this virtual dimension help deliver a message? When viewed through the app, the content comes to life with depth and animation for you to explore. It also enables the creation of a new information layer, resulting in a more interactive and engaging experience. If you cannot make it to an exhibition, the app comes with a downloadable PDF file which contains a sample target.
